Part of giveit.co.uk, The Alternative Wedding List is the UK's on-line charitable wedding list service. Instead of toasters and kettles you can sign-up to a gift list that contains gifts of donations to various charities, including Barnardo's, FARM-Africa, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Samaritans, Terrence Higgins Trust, War on Want and many more.

Couples select one of the groups of charities on the service, which includes a number of themed lists, your guests simply log on and select a donation to the charity of their choice.
