Leafy Surrey, with its mix of market towns such as Guildford and Dorking, rolling hills and quaint villages provides a perfect place to find a wedding venue. In terms of transport links for your guests, the M25 and A3 run through it, taking you to London and all the counties surrounding it.
The county is famous for attracting wealthy residents and some of their former homes are now used as venues for weddings, many of which are gay friendly. Or if you fancy a racing theme, you could hold your wedding at Sandown Park racecourse.
If your guests want to make a weekend of your civil partnership ceremony, they could go walking on the North Downs, which stretch from Guildford in the west and Dorking in the east.
Box Hill, just north of Dorking is a popular viewpoint. The Royal Horticultural Society's ornamental gardens at Wisley are another attraction.
