Why not have your wedding in the capital - one of the most gay friendly cities in the world? You could choose a venue on the Thames, in the City of London or with the backdrop of the famous skyline including St Paul's Cathedral - the setting of many a famous wedding.
With its fantastic historical buildings and magnificent hotels, London has a wide range of wedding venues. You can even get married on the London Eye! Or futher afield there is a large selection of unusual venues, hotels and country homes in the Greater London area, including Syon House and Kew Gardens.
You could stroll through the gay area of SoHo before your civil partnership ceremony. Or take in the tourist attractions from a London double decker hired for the occasion to take you and your guests to your wedding venue.
If your friends and family want to make a weekend of it they can enjoy the British, Science and Natural History Museums, and the fabulous Victoria and Albert. The South Bank Centre has three theatres, art gallery, cinema and concert hall.
