Many of our venues appreciate that you may want an intimate civil partnership with a few carefully selected friends and family members. We have selected below some of the venues that can cater for smaller weddings.
A truly magical country house hotel situated on the edge of Lake Windermere. The baronial hall with magnificent oak staircase is the perfect setting for your ceremony. Set in six acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, the hotel enjoys one of the longest lake frontages and two private jetties.
Saltcote Place offers flexible accommodation and outstanding views with space for the most intimate function or the most extravagant. The grounds are secure and private, not overlooked.
The Fan Museum provides the perfect setting for smaller wedding receptions. The elegant and beautifully maintained period home coupled with the enchanting garden, ideal for wedding photographs, creates the perfect atmosphere for intimate wedding celebrations. The maximum number for the ceremony is 30 and catering is 80.
The Red Lion can cater for all sizes of weddings from 10 - 120 guests in our newly refurbished and extended terrace, garden and riverside rooms. With fabulous views onto the River Wharfe and your own private terrace, they now form a self-contained suite giving you exclusive use of this area.
Hotel Felix is Cambridge's first contemporary hotel and provides the perfect setting to make your wedding celebrations truly memorable. The original building dates back to 1852 and whilst many of the Victorian features have been lovingly restored, these are now complemented by designs of the modern day. Licensed to hold civil wedding ceremonies, our four handsome reception rooms Atlas, Calypso, Phoebe and Hyperion are suitable for all occasions.
The neo-Georgian restoration of the house by the Gordons created an elegant, bright and homely atmosphere. The graceful staircase leads up to a suite of interconnecting rooms around the Square Hall in which sits the original billiard table. The Drawing Room and Dining Room are wonderfully sunny rooms with huge bay windows, and can seat 50 theatre-style or 30 for dinner.
Hornton Grange was built during the early years of the 20th Century. This imposing Edwardian Style residence retains a wealth of features from its impressive oak panelled reception and bar, ornate ceilings, mouldings and archways, all lovingly restored to enhance every feature.
Hornton Grange is approved for civil marriage and civil partnership ceremonies. We have four rooms in which you can exchange your vows seating up to 80 of your guests.
Fashionably located between Harrods and Kensington Palace, The Gore's Italianate mansions date back to the 19th Century.
Our guestrooms are elegantly furnished with antiques including four-poster beds. We have meeting and private dining suites for up to 70 guests.
Over the centuries, our private rooms, The Green Room, The Mulberry Room and The Tapestry Room, have provided the setting for many important decisions made by diplomats, directors and divas.
